Starting your journey

  • No, unfortunately we are not allowed to see anyone outside of New Zealand.

  • Yes, you can access ADHD coaching, counselling and group coaching even if you do not have a diagnosis. You can also see Beehyve GPs for support with your symptoms.

    • We can only prescribe ADHD medication if you have a formal diagnosis.

  • We require you get a referral(medical history) from your GP. If you are unable to provide this information, please contact our team

  • We are not directly affiliated with an insurance provider, but we can support your claim for insurance reimbursement. After your appointment, we will provide a receipt and any notes required for your claim.

    • Please check with your insurer before booking, to make sure you are covered.

  • Yes. Beehyve uses GoCardless, which allows larger payments to be collected in smaller, scheduled direct debit instalments from your bank account.

Assessments & diagnosis

  • Wait list length changes all the time and can be anywhere from one to six months, depending on our assessment team.

  • Yes. Beehyve offers ADHD assessment as well as autism assessments.
    Be aware that telehealth assessments of autism are not eligible for government disability funding (MSD/IF). If autism is suspected during an ADHD assessment, we’ll let you know. To find a provider that might be able to meet your face to face check out our directory for other providers.

Working with our GPs (General Practitioners)

  • This could be your regular GP, or it could be the Beehyve Health professional you’re working with. It’s up to you, and it depends on how comfortable your GP is with ADHD care.

  • All of our doctors are selected for their skills, professionalism and experience with ADHD care. Choosing a doctor is a personal preference, and you can find more information about Beehyve’s doctors on the Team page.
