Thanks to AI, it suddenly seems like you do not need to remember everything. We get it. It seems easy to replace professional therapeutic services with an app.

You’re probably asking: do you even need an ADHD coach or counsellor when ChatGPT and other large language models promise to do all the same things?
AI chatbots like ChatGPT are way cheaper than your therapist. There's no waiting list. No scheduling. They're always there for you and that is awfully tempting.
It’s hard to notice at first but AI as therapy can be like talking to a friend that always agrees with you. That’s great, but it can be toxic and that’s not how therapy works.
The truth is, large language models aren’t ready to care for your unique brain.
A Beehyve counsellor creates a safe space to talk about your traits and the emotional weight of living with ADHD. And we do it from a lived experience perspective which makes the support we offer feel more real, relatable and different from traditional therapists.

In this Q&A, we talk to Beehyve Counsellor, Meg about her own late ADHD and autism diagnosis, how creativity plays a key role in her sessions, and what a truly neurodivergent-friendly counselling space looks like. She shares practical insights, the difference between coaching and counselling, and why finding the right counsellor matters.
