Meet Orna

Dr Orna McGinn is an experienced GP with over 15 years in New Zealand general practice. She enjoys supporting adults across a wide range of physical and mental health concerns, with particular interests in adult ADHD, women's health and mental wellbeing.

Alongside her clinical work, Orna lectures in medical education at a leading New Zealand university and delivers practical training for doctors and nurses across Aotearoa. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work as the parent of two neurodivergent children, giving her a strong appreciation of the many ways ADHD and autism can shape everyday life.

Orna enjoys being part of a team that brings together different areas of expertise. She values sharing ideas with colleagues and believes people benefit most when their care is thoughtful, practical and centred around what matters to them.

When she's not working, Orna enjoys sea swimming, yoga, walking, reading and spending time with family and friends. She has always been fascinated by people, what shapes their experiences, and the different ways we think, learn and navigate life.
