Who is it for?
Maybe you’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD. Maybe you’ve recognised it in yourself for a while. Or perhaps you have a strong suspicion and you’re wondering, what now?
This group is for people near the start of understanding their ADHD who want to make sense of how it shows up in their own life - alongside other people who get it.
What you get out of it
This programme combines learning about ADHD and neurodivergent wiring with the opportunity to explore what that information means for you.
Across four weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Better understand how ADHD works and how it shows up for you
Recognise your own mix of strengths and challenges
Explore practical strategies for focus, planning, routines, energy and follow-through
Better understand emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity, masking and self-esteem
Explore ways to work with your ADHD rather than constantly fighting against it
Hear different experiences and perspectives from other people with ADHD
Week by Week
Week 1 - What does your ADHD look like?
Get to know your own ADHD. Explore what’s happening in the brain, the interest-based nervous system, and your personal mix of strengths and challenges - including those that aren't always obvious.
Week 2 - Differently wired
Explore executive functions in everyday life: why getting started can be hard, why time can behave strangely, why your capacity can vary from one situation to another, and how external supports can help carry some of the load.
Week 3 - Emotions, rejection sensitivity and self-esteem
Explore the emotional side of ADHD, including emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity and masking. Look at how years of criticism can shape self-esteem and begin replacing old narratives with more accurate, compassionate ones.
Week 4 - The boom–bust cycle
Understand why periods of high output can end in a crash and why consistency isn't simply a matter of trying harder. Explore ways to build a more sustainable foundation around sleep, movement and nutrition, ADHD style.
